  3.              HyperAct Expands Windows HELP Functionality

  5. PGH, PA -- Infotivity Technologies Inc. announces HyperAct(tm), 
  6. a Windows application that allows the creation of dialog boxes,
  7. collection of user input, edit system control files, and perform other
  8. functions, ALL WITHOUT WRITING A SINGLE LINE of code!  "HyperAct
  9. allows for the economic creation of HELP that actually performs the
  10. work suggested by the topic" stated Greg Lohr, CEO of Infotivity 
  11. Technologies. In addition, he said "HyperAct can reduce the time
  12. needed to develop highly interactive and complex HELP or CUSTOM Windows 
  13. controls by as much as 90%. A brief description of HyperAct follows.

  15. No programming experience is needed to use HyperAct! The ability 
  16. to use standard Windows Help or Notepad commands is all that's needed,
  17. according to Lohr. All topic specific functions are performed by
  18. using the simple, yet detailed, HyperAct options. It's also usable
  19. by any help authoring system that creates Windows HELP. By using
  20. HyperAct you can:

  22.   1. Create or edit any type of system initialization or
  23.      configuration file for Windows or MS-DOS.
  24.   2. All editing may be done with a clear audit trail - the
  25.      old parameter is commented out, not deleted.
  26.   3. Display a dialog box for user input.  The dialog box
  27.      may have up to 6 fields with custom field labels, each with
  28.      COMPLEX VALIDATION. For example, if numbers are valid any other
  29.      entry character produces an error message, or if only values
  30.      5 up to 21 are valid, an entry of 3 produces an error, or if
  31.      only D: and E: are valid then A produces an error.
  32.      You can also have DROP DOWN value boxes appear, if desired.
  33.   4. CALL any other executable file from within an .HLP file,
  34.      MS-DOS or Windows EXE, COM, or BAT, with any required 
  35.      switches.
  36.   5. De-caches and broadcasts changes to the WIN.INI file. This
  37.      eliminates or drastically reduces the need to RESTART
  38.      Windows. 
  39.   6. Allows for automatic RESTARTING when needed, under user
  40.      control or totally automatically.
  41.   7. One HyperAct statement can control many different parameter
  42.      settings.
  43.   8. Run user defined controls outside of Windows Help from Command Lines
  44.      or Icons, independently of Windows Help.  The new HyperAct TOOLBOX
  45.      permits desired control functions to be grouped together for
  46.      easy selection.

  49. a breeze when compared to the old method of writing usable controls
